For our Maker friends who love printing in jumbo size, Creality has released the Ender 3 V3 Plus, a large format CoreXZ printer that just works, even if it’s your first project. We were very excited with the introduction of the Ender 3 V3 and its efficient, high-speed design. Now, the same beginner-friendly design is even bigger. The Ender 3 V3 series is more reminiscent of the K1 printers, with their gantry achieving smooth motion along linear rods. The new entirely belt-driven system completely replaces the leadscrews and extrusion frame of previous Ender 3 models. The timing belts and two stepper motors on the Z-axis work in unison with the X-axis to achieve high-speed and precise 3D printing.
The Ender 3 V3 Plus includes all the great preinstalled upgrades we saw in the Ender 3 V3 and upsizes your print area to 300x300x330mm. The Creality Ender 3 V3 Plus zooms out quality prints at 600mm/s and includes a plethora of automation features. This printer was created for the Maker who wants to click print and walk away without worrying about bed levelling or potential print failures. The Creality Ender 3 V3 Plus prints out of the box after a quick 10-minute assembly. We believe this is a dream printer for beginners and professionals alike who are looking for a wholly reliable and fast 3D printer.
Noteworthy Features of the Ender 3 V3 Plus 3D Printer:
- 300x300x330mm Build Volume – The first, most obvious difference to the original Ender 3 V3 is the larger print bed. Plus, indeed. This printer is built for printing those impressively large prints and tackling bigger, bolder projects. Supersize your 3D models without fear. The Ender 3 V3 Plus includes additional sturdy features for the task.
- Reinforced Support Rods and Dual Y-Axis Motors – The Ender 3 V3 Plus prepares for the weight of your jumbo-size prints with two key new features. Along the X-axis are two support rods to attach to your printer for greater stability and to minimise any vibrations. The bigger bed also requires support from the dual Y-axis motors, allowing the larger build volume to keep up with the high-speed printing demands.
- New CoreXZ Design and Linear Rods – Creality has flipped the core design of the K1 and created a new bed-slinger, born for speed. Many have made the connection between the Ender 3 V3 series and the CoreXY system of the K1 by simply flipping it onto its side. The Ender 3 V3 Plus has done away with the classic gantry in favour of a belt-driven system on linear rods, encased in a full aluminium-cast frame. Two Z-axis motors work together to provide stability and precision. Thanks to the smooth linear rods, the print head moves very fast along its X and Z axes, and wobbling is nearly eliminated. Even the tensioning on your XZ timing belts is all automated.
- 600mm/s High-Speed Printing – Thanks to its stable, lightweight design and new CoreXZ system, the Ender 3 V3 Plus printer easily finds its place at the top of great bed-slingers. Pumping out a Benchy print in a little over 13min at 600mm/s, this printer runs circles around even the Ender 3 S1 series printers.
- Hands-Free Automatic Bed Levelling – The Ender 3 V3 series offers Creality’s dual automatic bed-levelling system. The bed plate itself is fixed into place with no adjustable knobs because manual levelling is not in this design whatsoever. The auto bed levelling system uses a strain sensor, as seen on the CR-6 SE printer, to detect the pressure as the nozzle touches the bed plate. The auto-calibration adjusts the height of your hotend and maps the entire print bed, ensuring every print is perfectly levelled. Usually, to setup this system, you would need to set a "Z-offset,” but the Ender 3 V3 Plus eliminates this confusing step altogether and determines the Z-offset to the millimetre. Finally, a truly hands-off printing experience!
- Direct Drive Aluminium-Cast Extruder – This modified direct drive extruder and hotend reaches up to 300°C with high-flow speeds. A bolster spring and ball plunger ensure clog-free extrusion that grips the filament tightly. The 60W heater rockets the temperature, allowing prints of PLA, ABS, PETG, and various flexible filaments like TPU. The metal body of this extruder is surprisingly aluminium-cast, providing an amazing quality product. Peaking out below is the tri-metal “unicorn” nozzle from Creality that offers quick-swap durability. The steel-tipped copper nozzle is integrated with a titanium alloy heatbreak. This combination of materials perfectly transitions the filament to smoothly flow and allows you to print even more advanced filaments like PLA-CF and CR-Carbon.
- Creality OS Klipper Software and WiFi Control – Yes, Creality has stepped away from Marlin and into the wide possibilities of Klipper. With their modified Klipper firmware, you can enjoy the smart connected network and control your 3D printer straight from your PC or phone. With space to install a camera, the software will even let you monitor your prints after a bit of tinkering. See your print progress, temperatures, and speeds from anywhere.
- Textured PEI Magnetic Flexible Build Plate – The Ender’s standard glass bed is now replaced on the Ender 3 V3 Plus with a textured PEI spring steel bed that peels off the platform and flexes to pop prints easily off the bed. This sturdier and tougher print surface performs wonderfully for good bed adhesion. Flexible build plates bring a new level of convenience to your 3D printing experience, eliminating any need to shovel your 3D prints off the bed, as it often feels like using a scraper.
Of course, as per usual, there are so many cool features about this new model that we simply can’t fit them all into one description. However, we feel that the few mentioned above are some key features that really differentiate the Creality Ender 3 V3 Plus from other models, including the Ender 3 V3 SE and K1 printers. Fortunately, we’ve listed all of the other important features down below, and if you’re still eager to learn more after that, be sure to check out the video at the bottom too.
